of eleven

Of Eleven, an homage to my mother’s family. Of Eleven,  is a series of eleven portraits, one for each of my mother’s siblings, and a diptych of their parents. I am working to archive a large collection of family images, and find an image of each sibling  to work with to create a new portrait celebrating them. The project is a complement to work I have been doing since 2009, both archiving photos and using them to create new images.

I have been working on this project since early 2017 and to date I have seven images in process or complete.
